I just bought a 2006 Cub Cadet 8454 that you here would know is a DK45.I am installing a new Cub Cadet 640/Kioti KL1450 loader that is made to fit Cub Cadet 8354/Kioti DK35.
So far I have I have been lucky as the loader mounts bolt holes line up with the holes for a loader on what I think is the bell housing. The holes for the front of the loader mount do not line up with what is there.I see a 7/8" thick plate of steel, with three holes, welded on the frame that looks like a loader would mount. The holes in my loader mount are not far enough toward the front of the tractor.
Other than that I measured the cross member of my loader for the DK35 and compared it to frame width of the my (DK45) and the width is the same.So I am thinking Kioti used the same bell housing on the DK35 and DK45?The rear rails for the loader mount are not the same for my (DK45),so I bought new ones from Cub Cadet.
If someone has installed one of the DK35/KL1450 or DK45/KL1470 loaders maybe they would have some advise for me.I am planning on some refab work on my mounts and am going to try to make it look good when done.
My manual for the Cub Cadet 640 loader only shows Kioti tractors in the pictures. The parts list is from KMW loaders so they must have made the 640 and KL1450 loaders.
I posted on the Cub Cadet forum here, mostly to compare a Cub Cadet 8454 to using a skid steer.
