I have a 7275 3 cyl diesel.
I has been running fine for over a year (just bought it last summer). This spring I replaced the battery and ran it for several months without an issue.
About 2 weeks ago, I was moving some firewood... I turned the throttle down when I was loading up the bucket with wood, then got on the tractor and throttled up and it stalled.

As a side note, the battery is dead. I believe I have a charging system issue that I have not figured out yet.
So I have to jump start it using my truck. Not sure if that is related to the stalling issue, but including it just in case.

OK, so I just start it and run it for another half hour and it stalled again. This happened a couple more times before I called it quits for the day.

Did some research and it seems that fuel and air delivery issues could cause it to stall.
Topped off the fuel, cleaned the air cleaner, replaced the fuel filter.

Jump stared it a few days ago and ran my brush hog for about 90 minutes without any issues. I thought my problem was solved... then it stalled.

What can I try next?
Thanks in advance.
Doug

Progress... I think.
I ended up buying a replacement fuel pump. There are two, the first is back by under the fuel tank and is a low pressure pump.
Got it installed and tried to start the tractor. Started right up and ran until it ran out of fuel. I shut off the fuel valve before I pulled the old pump off and forgot to turn it back on.

Then it would start, sputter, and stall.
I pulled the fuel line off at the engine and turned the key on to run the primary pump and get air out of the line.
After that it started and ran fine for about 2 hours.

Then I had it parked in the driveway while I was pulling some stuff out of the garage and it stalled!!!!
Nooooooo!!!!

What's going on with this machine?

I would start by checking the battery connections, both at the battery and the negative cable where it connects to the frame.

Is the battery the post type or bolt on type?

If post type, make sure that the post is clean and also the inside of the clamp on both cables.

Then I would start looking into the charging system. With the engine running, you should see about 14.5 volts at the battery terminals.

If the battery voltage drops while you are running the engine, it will no longer be able to hold the fuel solenoid in and the engine will stop.

Now I am not familiar with your tractor, but unless you have a manual lever to turn on and turn off the fuel shut-off, you have a fuel solenoid.

Thanks for the feedback.

Battery is a post type. Brand new in April of this year.
It is not getting charged, so there is definitely an issue with the charging system.

I'll focus on the charging system next.

There is a manual fuel shut off by the filter right under the fuel tank.
The fuel filter, shut off, and primary fuel pump are all together.

It appears that you have a manual fuel injector control. Here is a photo from the manual, not exactly your model, but I think that it is for the same engine.

Item 11 is your stop/run/rpm control
