Cub Cadet 2544 oil change

Just bought an untouched 08/2544 with 174 hours on it and I need to do an oil and trans fluid change. Tractor is in great shape with virtually no wear. I was wondering how to do the oil change without making a real mess then how to modify the drain to make it easier in the future. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum. I would assume that it has the quick release oil drain where you turn the little yellow cover ~ 1/8 turn and give a slight tug and out the oil comes. A 1/2 " hose can help get the oil into the pan. If yours doesn't have it, it can be added or another style drain. A vacuum extractor also works well.

I'm in favor of pumping the oil out with a pump. Put the hose down in the oil fill tube and just pump it out. No other way to do it without making a mess.
