Cub Cadet 1320 won't start

I have a model 1320 Cub Cadet with a 12.5 hp Kohler that will not start after 18 years of trouble-free service. Turning the ignition key produces nothing, not even a click. The battery is strong. An inspection of the wiring shows good insulation and terminal connections. Dead-man switches appear to be functioning. Help? Thank you.

try jumping the ignition switch just might have a bad key switch
