I've got a new issue.

When i bought the tractor, it had a slight hydraulic leak at a fitting on one of the hydraulic cylinders. The fitting had obviously been changed by a previous owner. It was leaking where it threaded into the cylinder. It got worse, so i decided to address it. I went to remove the hose from it, and with very little force, the fitting broke off in the cylinder. Luckily, i was able to remove the leftover part with a screwdriver, and it was pretty easy. But now, the tractor is down.

The photos show the original fitting on one side, the broken off fitting, and the inside of the hose on the broken off side.

First, i tried bobcat dealers. They all tell me that the only way to get the original is to buy the cylinder (i tried 2 dealers). The online parts list for Bobcat isn't working for me. It keeps crashing IE. It worked before... So, i wasn't able to scour it to find the part and check the work of the 2 dealers i called.

Next, i tried kioti. Kioti lists the part. No one nearby has it, and everyone says they need a bigger order to get it, so it has to go on stock order (2-3 weeks till they get it)...

Next, i tried 2 hydraulic hose shops. Omni and Parker. Neither had anything similar. They couldn't identify the threads with any accuracy.

First, does anyone know the thread sizes on the original fitting? Next, has anyone had this same issue? What's my best option?

Thanks in advance.

Jon

Looks like a typical NPT fitting to me, possibly BSPP if the threads aren't tapered. I can't believe two shops couldn't ID the threads-that fact leads me to believe they are BSPP as many shops are not familiar with them. DHH probably has them, sorry I can't post a link right now...

It's definitely pipe threads into the cylinder. Looks like 1/4". But they seem to think it's BSPP. They actually couldnt match up the other side that goes into the hose. The fittings they had wouldn't screw onto it...

I've been calling around for a while. I just found a kioti dealer in PA that had one in stock. They are shipping it to me. Phew. I hope the existing hose actually fits the factor fitting.....

Bobcat parts list does not break the fitting down separately from the cylinder. Kioti part number is t4520-63381. Another part number that I believe will be identical is 56713-28131. You can google numerous hits on both numbers.

If you are having trouble browsing the Bobcat parts list because of "iso view" you probably need to go to tools, then security, remove "enable protected mode" check mark.
