Had been brush hogging, came home, backed tractor off trailer, started forward and she died. Ignition was dead. After inspecting fuses I found a blown 5amp fuse labeled Operational control unit/switched power relay. Although I know not recommended my seat safety switch is bypassed and has been for years. I replace the fuse, started right up, I backed it up engaging pedal with my hand so I could search for a fuse I had dropped. It idled probably 5 minutes, I then got on the seat, started forward and it died. Same fuse blown, replaced it again, let idle several minutes, got on, went back and forth, then parked it in the shed. Mysterious to me, anyone ever experience anything like this? Not really sure what the switched power relay is, could it be the same as ignition relay?

Found my problem. Seat switch wire had been mashed so much it had a bare place and when I sit of the seat the wire was grounding out.

Same issue happened to me. In my case I sat down in the seat hard and it died. Went through a lot of things before I found that fuse and that my seat switch had shorted. So if you tractor dies suddenly this is a good place to start.
