Had an issue while bush hogging. After hitting stump rear PTO jammed on. Was able to get it stopped by engaging clutch. Took bush hog off and noticeEd mid PTO arm shake broke. I have the mid PTO repaired and ready to reassemble but rear PTO still stuck. Rear PTO arm shift will not turn but I was able to slide it out past O-ring. Removed 8 bolts on bearing PTO housing but can’t separate it. Want to see what’s jamming the rear PTO fork. Any ideas on what may have happened and how to separate the flange? Bob Cat dealer states it should just slide out. Service manual says there’s a hard gasket there but on line parts shows nothing. It looks like gray silicone..although should be anaerobic flange sealer. Sure hope I dont have to attack this beast from above!

I don't know the answer but the last step on this page says slide the shifting arm out. Only way that arm will come out is to the inside. It would appear the lift cover would have to come off to access. Don't take my word for it.

Thanks. I was able to slide it out as shown. It doesn’t state to remove it. The biggest issue I’m having is with removing the housing. Looks like I need to beat on it with a 2x4.

So it meant to just slide it in some to disengage on inside? I do find it interesting parts don't show a gasket but repair manual does. If it cover has not moved "at all" then I would guess sealant has it stuck.

Got it apart. Was loaded with gray silicone. Everything looks great except fork bar doesn’t move up selector rod. Should be a simple fix from here. Thanks for the comments.

Got everything apart and still questioning why silicone as a gasket vs. anaerobic, which is better for machine flanges. I'm ready to put everything back together and not sure what gasket to use to mount the mid-pto or the rear PTO. Any ideas? Service manual says one thing and the parts list another.

I would probably go back with whatever was on there to start with.
