I have had some adjustments problems with the "Cruise Control" on my B3030.

When used, it eases back and you lose the setting. Had the dealer send a mechanic out and he couldn't adjust it to correct the problem. He followed the Tech Manual, and it failed to correct the problem.

I have since e-mailed Kubota, and am awaiting a response. The dealer has also made an inquiry to a Tech Rep.

Just wondered if anyone else has has the same problem.

Also, I am still bugging them to make a Horn Kit available. Also I read a response from a B3030 owner in the UK, and he said his came with a Horn Kit installed, exactly like the B26 has. Same light switch cluster, only - there is a Horn with an orange button in lieu of the non-working black one.

Best Regards.........Bruce !!

just a wild guess , but check the brake and make sure it is adjusted to spec and pedal returning completely.
I know if you have any pressure at all on the pedal, cruse control will not work right.

I don't use the cruise control much, but the few times I have it stayed right where it was put.
If I have both brake pedals locked together and apply the brakes, this causes the cruise control
to slide forward, as it should. So the previous post about checking the brake adjustment is a good idea.

Both my b7500 and my b3030 ease back a bit, once set you have to throttle up just a bit to attain the origional setting.

Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts and recommendations. When the mechanic came out to the house, he did in fact adjust the brakes; because when I would set the parking brake, the tractor would drift. So it needed it for sure.

I called the dealer today, and was told they are pulling a new assembly for a functions check as a working model - to troubleshoot the adjustment process IAW the service/adjustment manual. When it is resolved, I will post the results and the solution(s) achieved.

Have a safe and happt Orange Day!

Also I failed to mention about the No Horn for the B3030. I received a response from Kubota this evening, and they said they will pass the comment(s) along for possible consideration of a horn. If it flys, they will notify all dealers like they did with the new seat you can purchase for $49.00. I did get one, and it is definitely alot more comfortable. I took the original seat that the B3030 came with and installed it on my 26 year old B6100 which was pretty shot.

BRUCE, Were you able to get your cruise problem fixed? I have a new 3030 and the cruise will not hold. I tried to adjust the spring tension with the cruise adjustment setting, with little or no difference. Sure would be nice to have cruise when mowing.

Gee! Sorry I never answered you.......didn't check it for a long while. But yes I did........the service man added some washers to the spring adjustments. I can check with him at the dealership or give you the phone number so you can call them. My e-mail is allons77@verizon.net
