Mowing Cruise control on 353HST

my 353 HST cruise control will NOT work until the tractor is hot....mabe 30-45 minutes of mowing.
then it works all day long, even if i let it sit for an hour.
Electronic or is there a sensor near the break pedal that might be stuck or adjusted wrong ?
anybody have a drawing ?

My guess is the sensor on the brake, as you've already suggested.
