Hello, I am a farmer rancher in Montana that would like to take a J.D. 4030 to British Columbia to do some work for myself and leave it up there. I am wondering if anyone knows how this works with Canadian customs and what taxes I could expect. I have owned the tractor since 1989. Thanks for the advice. powderriver

I do not have direct experience for what you are asking but I would imagine that Canadian Customs would want to make sure that what you bring in goes back out and not sold in Canada within a certain time period. You probably want to get clarification on what you need to do specifically from both Canadian and US Customs. The Canadian Customs contact info is on their website ..... Contact Us - General Enquiries . In addition I found this pdf form for owners bringing in goods without resale .... http://www.cbsa.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/b4-eng.pdf . It sort of hits on your situation but not entirely. It might take a little effort but I think you will be able to get a clear picture, and what documents are required, with a few phone calls/emails....Gary
