Cross Referencing Filters

After I bought my Century 2028 it didn't take long for me to run the hour meter up to 50, so I decided I'd go to the dealer and get all the filters for the tractor....I about fell over in shock when the gave me the prices....Good cheap tractor, but it seems they make up for it in parts!!! I have looked on the web trying to find a cross reference for these filters and, as of yet, have had no luck.....Also when I bought the tractor it had a very short oil filter on it and the new one is long...Is that a problem?

How much where they charging for filters? Century Filters and Parts aren't that high....

CHECK WITH NAPA i get my oil filters from them. they may be able to cross reference your filters.

WIX # 51356 for the engine oil filter. havent been able to cross the hydraulic filter.

Thanks for the resonses....well I can't remember exactly how muck the filters were,but I thunk I can get close to what I paid...the cheapest was the fuel filter ...about $8. the oil filter was was close to $20-$25. the hydraulic was $40 or so and the air filter was like $70 (we matched up a Kubota filter for a whole lot less)........I guess what I really want to know is if I go to my local Wal-Mart or parts house and take the time to make sure that everything matches up ok will the oart work for me? I would hate to buy a cheap oil filter and have it be too restrictive or ineffective causing the motor to blow just to save a few bucks....once again..... thanks

My dealer stocks WIX filters for the Branson The transmission is a WIX 51202, oil is WIX 51344, probably similar to the 51346 mentioned earlier. I think the transmission was less than $20, oil was around $10.
