Critical Compoment failure : Horn won't sound!

I'm not sure what I did. Maybe I jostled something loose but my horn has quit working. I count on it regularly to startle my wife and make a general ***** of myself with.

All the other electrical components work and it shares a fuse with other working functions.

Any idea where the horn's actually located? Maybe I tore it off. Better yet, maybe I should upgrade to some kind of air horn!

dangit... mine doesn't even have a horn to break!!!...
I passed a saltwater hauler the other day on Interstate and noticed that he had a set of 3 train horns mounted just behind the cab, aimed directly out the driver side.... Just thought to myself, I would HATE to be on a motorcycle beside him when he let those things go...

Yeah, I am bummed out because my horn quit working too. The horn on the CK20 is in front of the radiator. I cannot see anything obvious on the horn itself so I need to trace things back to see if it is a bad ground or if I tore a wire off.
I ran over a piece of 1/4 in. rebar a week ago that I was using as a grade stake, thought it was a piece of brush, maybe that is the culprit.
Also tore off the light I had installed on the roll bar backing into the garage to get out of the rain.
I need to be more careful with my toys---little things are an aggravation.

Thanks for the info, Gil. Sorry to hear about the damage. I too am my own worst enemy.

PoorMan - it looks like a reasonable mod. Anything from a bicycle horn to a train horn would be better than nothing.

I wish I had a horn. Is the horn button/switch in the center of the steering wheel or is there something else used?

My Kioti Dk45 came with a horn right out of a 1960 VW beetle. It was embarrassing to use that thing. I went to NAPA and bought a real horn...not an air horn (hay...an air horn...cool idea). At least im not embarrassed to toot it.

I'll be Capt. Obvious. Have you checked to see if you horn has a solid ground? If that doesn't work, you can always use the bumper sticker, "horn is broke, watch for middle finger." Sorry Just trying to make gold tonight :laughing:

@Egon - I actually have one of those but the bulb has dryrotted away.
@Beltzington - The ground is there and everything looks like it's intact. It could simply be a bad switch. If I have time today, I'll try to see if I can bypass the switch and test it.
