Creeping throttle on PT 1430

Hi all,
Put another couple of hours of field mowing on the new tractor with no apparent problems, just one little thing thats a bit annoying, and maybe it's just normal. Seems the throttle doesn't want to stay at anything over about three quarters. when I put the lever above that to get more rpms, it just creeps right back. Could be govorner action but I've never seen one move the throttle cable back. Have not really looked at it yet but was wondering what others have experanced. Thanks.

I have had the same experience (on an 1845). There is a tension adjustment on the underside of the throttle control. Just remove the panels to access the underside of the instrument panel. Mine takes a 7/16" wrench--front and back. It is a little awkward to get the back side nut but doable without removing anything more than the access covers.

Even though I was not part of this discussion, I also thank you for posting the solution. I too have had the throttle creep issue on our 2445. I'll tackle the fix as soon as I can.
