Crazy Weather

Yesterday The high was 54, then at 1:00pm a front came through and the temp jumped up to 77 in an hour. Then later that evening we got a thunderstorm with high winds, hail and oh yea, a tornado. Knocked power out for around six hours. We dodged the bullet this year, but have some limbs down. Other folks weren't so lucky, but no lives lost. Now today at 9:51am it is 41 degrees with a 14 mph wind.

Got the garden tilled a couple of weeks ago but may not be able to plant until May. We are getting rain about every other day. The grass needs mowing but I might have to install tracks on the mower or pontoons to get it done.

On a bright note we did find some mushrooms yesterday afternoon. A mixed bag, small grays and yellow sponge but fine eating.

Weather has not been that great our way. Month of April so far has been below normal temp the whole month. Today is the first time in about 7-8 days we have not had frost in the morning. Several days we also had hail showers. At least it has not rained for a few days. Glad we have global warming. :laughing:

Yesterday was nuts in the St. Louis area.

In the morning, we had some big hail (news showed pictures of golf ball and a little larger size) that smashed some car windows.

Then, it got to close to 90 degrees with some sun.

Then in the evening BIG storms, hail, wind and heavy rain. The weather channel sent folks to St. Louis just hoping to see bad weather and tornados.
