So in 2008 I purchased a new John Deere 2305 TLB, I did 51 hours of work with it at my new home and decided I didn't need it anymore (which was a mistake). The guy I sold it to was an older gentleman from about 120 miles from me. He took the tractor off the trailer, put it in his heated garage and it's been sitting ever since. It now has 51.8 hours on the clock.
I get an email this morning from him, he is in bad health and wanted to know if I was interested in buying it back for $10,000, said he could use the money for medical bills. I told him he should be able to get more for it than that, he said he didn't have the energy to try and is thinking of moving into assisted living soon.
I happen to be in a position to buy it right now. So I'm headed there is there in the AM with a car carrier to pick it up, don't know what I'll do with it but it's worth all of that and then some..
I wonder if I need to do anything special to it? I did the 50 hour service before I sold it to him, should I do the service again when I get it back? I'm thinking I should..
