Saw this 240D with a loader in LA...too far for me...but possibly a good deal.....

now I just need a deal like this on the east coast.....

It would be worth twice that in nice condition. But I see mismatched rear tires (expensive!), wrong front tires (may have stressed the 4x4), and an absurd claim of 260 total hours on a 1979 model tractor.

I would check that one out thoroughly.

My 240 looked as bad as that one and turned out to be perfectly solid, after fixing a lot of dumb stuff like murky useless fuel and every bolt loose, but you never know.

A lot of ads on Craigslist for tractors are just fishing for email address's . Two year old JD with loader/ many attachments $2200. Yea if you believe that I've got some investments in Nigeria that I want to talk to you about. Caveat Emptor!

yes.....I flagged two different ads over the weekend in Craigslist that were bogus.....both had 10 plus ads ...same info different towns...pays to be careful....

this may or may not be real......just looked like something worth looking into
if someone was close to it.

unfortunately I am not.

I've also flagged ads on C-List and Tractorhouse. New equipment at rediculously low prices. Emailed a few out of curiosity. All insisted that shipping was also included in the price and no one could give me a location to inspect the machine. Just Google "Tractor scam", there's a lot of this activity out there.

At least a nationwide search doesn't find the same identical post for this tractor all over the US, (Maine to Guam!), like we used to see for all the $3900 Kubota BX's.
