Craftsman wiring harness

Hi

I have a old '96 Craftsman rider, 15.5 Kohler 42", Its been good but wiring has broken down and i want to replace or repair it.

Easiest way to turn it off is to, wile standing beside it, Flip the seat up.

Any help or direction to get a schematic is appreciated

Just curious, why do you need to rewire the whole mower? I have mowers a lot older than this, that wiring is still good on.

I don't know about you But I am rather good with wiring.
Still I prefer to have something to go by. Knowing which wire is Suppose to do what is a help.
Plus i seem to have some extra wires. Motor may have been swapped.

This is the engine part number that should be on that tractor.

There is a "Manage my life" deal on the Sears site, where you can have questions answered by "experts".... You may luck out and they may have an actual color coded schematic, and possibly send it to you. But I'm leaning towards them selling you a new harness...

That is my numbers, yet i have a plug mismatch, perhaps a different harness?

None of the safety systems work, except sorta the seat, if flipped all the way up the engine dies.

Its worth a shot.

Perhaps if i go about it from the Kohler angle, figure out what the engine needs and wire only that.
