I would like to know how to disable the safety switch under the seat.

You have two choices. If unplugging the switch does not work, make a "jumper" to replace the switch in the wiring harness.

Does the seat switch wiring go to the bottom center of the seat? If so, its like mine. Remove the seat from the mount, remove the switch from the seat, use a cable tie to hold the switch plunger depressed, lay the switch on top of the gas tank, remount the seat. The nice thing about doing it this way is if you want to restore the safety switch its just a matter of removing the cable tie and remounting the switch in the seat so save the mounting parts.

I also have a safety switch problem, I think. The engine starts right up, but when I either engage the blades or release the clutch pedal the engine stops. I though that maybe it was the ignition swich, but now that I have read the post's, maybe it;s the seat switch. I did find the safety swich by the clutch pedal and jumped it, but it would not even start. I did notice that the switch under the seat looks bad, but, I did not jump that one yet. Were is this third saftey switch that you guys are talking about?

I followed the wiring harness all the way to where it pugs in near the starter. I unplugged it and that did the trick

i had that exact problem on mine last year, turned out to be a relay that most of the switches go to, replaced it and no more problems.

How can you jump under the seat when it has 5 wires? The center wire is black.

But, the switch has 5 wires going to it. The center wire is black. Now, how do you jump the switch?
