For years we have fought Woodchucks and the damage they cause to buildings and gardens.
Gripeing about the problem with some guys at a local tavern an ol geeser chimed in with a suggestion to bait the trap with brocklee.

Wala, 7 'chucks' this week and a flock of very happy buzzards.
It really works.

Well at least their last meal was a nutritional one. Now if you would have put cheese on that broccoli I would have eaten it.

I love cheese over broccoli. :licking: Some folks would consider us weird.

There are a lot of foods I don't care for. Putting cheese on them can often change my mind! :licking:

(edit: this is the 'I like cheese' thread, right?)

Budweiser John, what type of trap did you use? I don't think they'll come up and eat out of my hand...

I used to trap them in NJ without anything in the Hav-a-Hart trap. They died of lead poisoning.

I use a garden variety Have-A-Heart trap from TSC.

Thank you for taking care of it instead of dumping it on some back road for somebody else to deal with... which is most likely why I have them now.

I spied one tonight just after getting home. He was sitting on the side of the road. I looked at him. I looked down the driveway at my truck with my .22 in it and realized it would be an easy shot. Looked at him again... looked back at the truck...

I glanced at the half empty beer in my hand, saw him watching me and said " this is your lucky day."
