What do owners think of Covington TP-46 Single Row Planters. I'm open to the Covington TP-66 Planter based on user experience. My plot will be:

1. 5 acres
2. I will plant sweet corn
3. Legumes
4. Other things that will make it in Central Texas dry land farming

As an aside, I probably will need to fence it to keep the goats out of the field.

Here in the far north we don't have the season to make many row crow things produce.

I have had a bit of experience with the Earth Way planters, which can be set up on a 3pt tool bar. I was dealing with a lot smaller space then but less money in equipment. It worked well for the place and space available at that time.

If I was to do an area the size you mention with your season and such I would definitely go with the TP 66.... Get things set up right the first time and not worry about problems getting the job done as, when needed.

Fencing here would be because of black bears....

My 5 cents of opinion and experience.
