Couple of bird pics.

Took the pics. of the mt. thrush pair a few days ago thought I'd post for those who've never seen one their a very shy bird.


This Mountain Thrush is spending the winter here seems hs has a damaged wing so couldn't fly south.


This wood pecker likes the suet and black oil sunflower seeds.

SandburRanch it was below freezing out we just had a big wind night before that blew all the snow off the trees. They may have their head up keeping a look out as they are very weary ( hawks ? ) or just keeping an eye on me through the window as I took these pics. from the kit.

Yes kco it is a grosbeak Quartz woke me up to my blunder I use a Sony cyber shot $90 camera 16 mp with a 10x optical zoom I bought for packing to work with me to record my jobs on the backhoe. I do have a more extravagant one for when I'm strictly out getting wild life pics. but the Sony is always handy.
