Is anyone using a countyline post hole digger on a CK 2610? I have the tractor ordered and am looking for a digger as fencing will be one of the first jobs. Thanks!

I have had a Tractor Supply County Line PHD for a few years. I run it on my CK30. Bought them to dig holes for Pole Barn and 6x6s for a new Sea Wall. Since then have used it for several projects and loaned it out a bit. Works great. You have to get the hang of what angle you need to start in order to be straight hole. I remember my Dad's growing up on the farm had a hand guide on it, but he probably welded that on himself.
I have broken some pins on rocks, had to work to get it our of roots, and it now leaks a bit of oil, but still works. Recently a neighbor wanted to use it on his large John Deere and it worked fine

You'll have plenty enough PTO power for a 9" auger, if you're wondering that. I've used a TSC post hole digger on my Kubota B2150 for 15 yrs with no problem. 18 hp at PTO. But what type of ground do you have, and how many posts are you planning? 3-pt diggers don't do well in hardpan, as gravity is the only downforce. There are tricks to help with that, but depending on your conditions, renting a digger with hydraulic downforce may be worth it.

Thanks for the info. I should be ok because I have very sand soil conditions. Probably around 80 posts.
