Only good coyote is a dead coyote as far as I am concerned.

Kill them all. We have a variety locally that have bred with Wolves for decades, we call 'em coywolves... very smart and aggressive... people eaters.

Coyotes have been known to kill and eat humans too. I recall some young, foolish, Canadian singer who was an eco-nut and apparently approached a pack all by herself. and got turned into "What's for Dinner, Wile-e?"

I lost my first dog - black lab - to coyotes. The pack sent a female in heat into the yard and she lured him away. Didn't have my gun so there was nothing I could do and yelling didn't help a bit.

Eric - I would be very watchful of that action from a coyote. Its not normal.

Understood. The coyote is a single female. Her pack was cleared out last fall. She makes the rounds to everybody's bird feeders two or three times a week.

If we believed that our place would be over-run with mice, pack rats, and other rodents. The coyotes keep these rodents in check, they're their primary source of food.

We have a pack of 5 on our land. Occasionally they get brave and try to take on the deer. The deer, heads lowered, form a line and slowly walk directly toward the coyotes. Soon the coyotes tails between legs get the message and run away to find easier prey. It's hysterical to watch.

I did lose a cat to a coyote, oddly enough that was in the suburbs of Denver, not on our land in the mountains. Occasionally I'll open the door to go out for the mail and find a pair of coyotes or fox pups sitting in the shade of the big maple. This too is at our house in the suburbs....

I believe that all things happen for a reason.

Seeing a Coyote when trying to decide on buying a Kiote Tractor, a stretch but it may be a sign to buy or you bought the correct machine.

I purchased my most recent house base on a feeling.

We had a cat who weighed 17 pounds. He was of Maine Coon cat ancestry. He was named "Daisy" but no regular pooch bothered him. I saw him make a wild fox turn tale. At 14 years of age, he failed to come home one evening. The tracks in the snow about a tenth mile from the house told the story as two yotes connived for the ambush.

That's pretty amazing, I saw my wife's cat having a Mexican standoff with a Fox, the Fox flinched first and ran off. On the other hand my English Springer chased a Fox and ended up getting the Mange and has been Skunked twice....I'm not a cat person but, I have to admire their "woods smarts"...Mike.

If it is a sign you should buy it, I hope I don't see a jaguar or a ghost

I agree with you totally, and won't subscribe to the "every thing must die" camp. Coyotes are stuck on this rock flying through space like the rest of us. They have to make a living too, unlike bipeds they don't kill for the fun of it...Mike.

It would have to be a German speaking ghost with an English accent.
