Cost of Kubota HD Top link bracket for B series - 70050-00540

Hi All-

Based on various recommendations, I am looking to upgrade the 3pt top link brackets on my B7800 w/ the heavy duty version rated for backhoe use. I've done a ton of searching on this subject and seem to have found the following part numbers for the kit;

70050-00540 BRACKET, HD TOP
75599-02330 Bolt, Bottom x2
75599-32113 Washer, Bottom x2
01053-51035 Bolt, Top x2
04512-50100 Washer, Top x2

I priced out these parts @ Messicks.Com and it comes to a little over $250, with almost all of that due to the bracket. Looking at old posts, it seems at some point people were paying only $70 for this bracket. How does this bracket triple in price in a few years? Am I looking at the wrong part, or has the price of steel really risen this much?

Also, I have seen some posts which state that 70050-94557 has replaced 70050-00540 although both parts are still sold and are about the same price. Does anybody know which is the latest version for the B series?

That's a lot of price increase in the 8 years since I bought mine. It's a needed upgrade if you are going to put a heavy attachment on your tractor.

I agree that price is a little out of line on that part, but that's the price it's been since I first looked into it myself a couple of years ago..

This year, I'm just going to bite the bullet, take my lumps, and get it.

In 2002 I purchased the bracket for my L3000, which is listed on your parts list. The bracket cost me around $65.00 then. The price you were quoted sounds a little high. You might try Carver Equiptment in Dunn, NC.

Prices on parts are partly based on how often they are used. Years ago, when that bracket was common place, the price was probably much more reasonable than now when there is very little turn over causing the production cost and shelf space to go up dramaticly. Thats pretty normal.

I heard a rumor that Kubota maybe adjusting the price of this part substantially. I will be able to better confirm in a day or two... The new price is much more reasonable, although still not $70.

For whatever reason, perhaps even in response to this post, Kubota has decided to lower the price on part 70050-00540. I have just confirmed w/ Messicks.Com that they can sell this part to me now for $119. Apparently the price was updated very recently, within the past few days. The Messicks.Com website still shows that part at $250 but I have confirmed w/ the parts group that I will only be charged $119.


I feel the new price is much more reasonable, so if this post did have anything to do w/ the price correction, I owe a big THANK YOU to Messicks and Kubota.
