Tractor
Kubota
I have a Kubota B2320, 23 hp, w/ a 18 hp pto. This tractor uses a category 1 3pt attachment. My local farm store has both 48" and 60" category 1 mowers (King Kutter), w/ drives on both rated at 40hp. My question is- Will the 60" work adequately on this size tractor, or should I go w/ the 48" model? Obviously, the
60" is much more productive, and only cost $20 more.
Thanks

I have a 48" Land Pride on my BX2660. I have other cutters up to ten foot six inches, so size wasn't a consideration, but as long as you are using a light duty cutter you shouldn't have any problem with the five footer. Several owners on the Kubota forum use them on their B Series tractors.

I ran a 5' kutter on a yanmar 1700.. which i believe has something like 21 engine / 17 pto hp.

for sure the 5 wasn't gonna go in thick brush in high gear.. but if you took it slow, it wasn't bad. the 48" would be gravy either way. since you have the option to use low gears and take 4' bites with a 5' cutter, you might go that way and benefit from the higher rotating mass to help thru some areas.

keep in mind the weight if you are in hilly areas..
