Correct color for MF 175 hood side panels

I have an MF 175 I working on. Have to replace the hood side panels and want to paint them the correct color scheme. My originals were painted all red but I have seen them with the upper part red and the lower part flint metallic grey. Anyone know which is correct?

They are there but not obvious. The bottom of the hood extends all the way back to the steering wheel and attaches to the instrument panel. The side panels attach to the bottom of the hood just below the silver side decal strips and extends down to the top of the transmission. They also covers the battery compartment.
