Rumor has it here that Washington is going to get locked down... no interstate travel. National Guard will be assisting. That would be drastic but could see it happening based on how fast things are changing. Then wait to see the run on grocery stores!

I think that's a great idea! Kick in 'Kali' while they're at it.

Didnt read all 105 pages. but our governor has cancelled ALL schools til april 3rd.

I am thinking this is probably alot more widespread than initially though.

Read an article this morning of a woman in washington state that had the virus and recovered. She even went to the doctor. Treated with OTC flu medication. Didnt think nothing of it and doctors dismissed it as there was no issues breathing and no cough. Didnt even test for covid-19.

She personally reached out to a research group and they sent her a nasal swab. Almost two full weeks after she first had flu-like symptons she got a call and they confirmed she had covid-19.

Makes one wonder just how many cases there really are that people are not even being tested, or are being mis-diagnosed as the common cold or flu?

If only the most sever cases are getting tested for covid-19....it stands to reason that the percentage of fatalities high. Because so many mild cases that are mis-diagnosed are not being counted in the total number of cases.

No doubt that this is a serious virus.....but I have to wonder if it really is much different at all than the common flu?

Just traveled to Miami Beach. Took a day trip to key west. Saw Everglades National Park and Biscayne Bay National park. Enjoyed the Art Deco district.

March madness......it's just not played on a court now....it's everyday living.

Think of all the tax money that could be saved by not constructing all of the university buildings if students attended classes from home. Plus students save room and board if they are at the parents home ..... I have thought this for a long time.

I took a masters of science degree completely online 20 years ago. It has been around for quite some time!

We went to Wegmans in Dickson City to do our normal weekly shopping last night and were amazed to find the toilet paper section totally empty. Cleaning section, pretty much the same. Other sections were emptied to a slightly lesser degree. People are going nuts, it seems.

In Colorado they closed public schools through March 29th (last day of our Spring Break). No cases confirmed at any schools around my area. All large gatherings/events have been canceled. There is only 1 confirmed case in my county.

It is an airborne virus. All of this surface cleaning is mute if the person with it is breathing around you. No need to wear gloves. Just wash your hands well and keep them away from your mouth (however this will do little to stop transmission as it is airborne). It is good practice for all communicable disease.

Local director of schools here got a doctorate in "numismatics" (study of coins) from an online place in Pakistan. When the local news station got to looking into it, a rather embarrassed school board bought out the guy's contract.

Well - - I got my Masters of Environmental Science at the University of Alaska( Anchorage campus ) - night school. Night school is not fun and can disrupt your life considerably. That was over 40 years ago.

One good thing - I didn't have to relocate to Fairbanks to get my degree.

The second wave looks more like a tsunami. The lack of testing I expect means many of us are spreading it without knowing it at this time. If China is giving us real data I do not understand why their rate of new cases are dropping like a rock? If that is the case maybe we are about to peak case wise.

I would say our peak in several weeks away. China has had this virus since October. They just didn't tell anyone about it.

I see Missouri has 2 confirmed cases now. Bet there a lot more that have it.
