Most universities have software that checks for plagiarism. Now that millions of people have gone to college, though, it's very, very hard to write something original. That's for essays.

For yes/no, A,B,C or all of the above stuff, many universities require the student to go to a monitored test center.

Rumor has it here that Washington is going to get locked down... no interstate travel. National Guard will be assisting. That would be drastic but could see it happening based on how fast things are changing. Then wait to see the run on grocery stores!

Washing your hands often is great advice but it's even better if your hands don't get contaminated in the first place...
IMO any public places where a person has to handle something...there should be sanitizer or wipes provided...

The virus can live for 3 days. You buy some canned goods from the grocery store that were put on the shelf by someone who had the virus and now the virus is on the can for the next 3 days. You wash your hands when you get home but 2 days later you grab the can again and fix a meal in your home. You get infected. There are so many ways . . . .

Yup. Same mistake were made in Italy. And it's now happening in Portugal as well. Now it's all over the place.

We still get lots of people that believe it's just a flu and took the Quarantine status as a vacation opportunity.

Just yesterday we had a very nice summer weather and were beaches full of stupid people that can't take things serious.

We have plenty of stupid people here too and they are armed with "rights". It is believed the Chinese knew less about this virus when it hit them, and did not do what Italy has done (close the country down). The US and other democracies will be bad as well. The Chinese were able to impose draconian controls to control the virus that we would find unacceptable. They were able to contain it, we will not. Look at how many on this site were saying "it is just the flu?"...and some still believe that...never underestimate the foolishness of men.

One of my concerns....It makes a frightening scenario for a more serious virus attack. Would any country kill off a small percentage of their citizens (knowing the can effectively contain the outbreak), once they learn from this scenario most countries are unable/unwilling to be as effective? Many may think this is nuts and I have hundreds of rolls of.....no not TP....but TF....tin foil.

I know how evil and ruthless some men can be....and regrettably they can be the most cunning, psychopathic, and intelligent members of the not-so-human race.

But not to worry....THIS IS NOT A TRAINING EXERCISE?...it is just the flu.

I may be going out on a limb here...but I suspect that it won't be long before someone comes up with a systemic type spray or compound that actually kills the virus...it should not have to go through typical human testing if it's effective and made from non harmful ingredients etc...it should be available before any human tested vaccine etc..?

Could get real ugly real fast and people are most certainly very stupid.

We can be too clean and it can harm us in serious ways. One of the things that wiped out so many Native Americans were the diseases carried by the Euro Invaders. The Euros had carried them for centuries but developed immunities due to repeated exposures. The Natives did not have those immunities and suffered disproportionate losses. There is currently an island in the North Indian ocean that is closed off to outsiders because the indigenous peoples have never been exposed to so many diseases. Travelers that come ashore cause outbreaks that killed many, so they are now banned. Some who violated the ban were killed by the islanders.

This bug is 'new-ish' and we will adapt as we have to others. But we have to be exposed to it for our systems to be able to do so.
