There were still the blue shop paper towels at Costco the other day. Wife picked a package for me. I really like them and I think they are probably soft enough if I need to dual purpose them

Bought a 12 pack in early November, maybe late October. It lasted until mid January. About then I was placing a 'pick up in store' order and needed a few more bucks to be able to use a coupon, so instead of ordering one, I made it 2 12 packs. I figure I'm good until June, maybe July.

Unless we're all dead by then.

In that case you could say that you bought a lifetime supply.

Harbor Freight has them too. Just bought a roll and a dispenser with a roll inside. You could use them for TP, they are soft.

Why?

We've been asking why people are doing this idiotic task, but this is the first time I've seen anyone admit to it publicly.

You are to build TP forts tall enough to sleep inside so the virus can not get to you while you sleep. Some do not know to remove the plastic so the TP does not trap the virus and they still get you even if you bought 10,000 rolls.

Well just got back from a "weekly" Walmart run. Due to the TP situation I had ordered all they had available for my brand and type for online ordering a couple of days ago (5 packs of 12 "mega" rolls) a few days ago from one store and 6 packs of 24 rolls from another store. When I picked up the orders the shelves were bare. The lady giving me the TP asked if I needed a security escort, several ladies asked me where I got my stack.
As I check now the online orders show "sold out".
I hope 200 rolls will hold my wife and I over the shortage.

My daughter is living in England. She calls their approach to the epidemic "thinning the herd". It will probably work over here too. Might help to make social security solvent.

Yep... courts closed, schools closed, churches closed, city halls, public and private events, etc.

Picked up a few supplies for the Hospital at 6 am at Lucky and no problem... Stopped at Safeway for Mom on the way home and never seen anything like it... empty shelves, lines from register to the back of store and parking simply not available... several around me said it was surreele or like a movie set...

Forgot to mention the local Costco was shutdown 4 times today with police dispatched and spilling over to the freeway...

This virus is Hyped to much!. There alot of old people who die because they dont eat right or get any excerise. This has not bothered me and it wont!.

The county that I live in whom I happen to drive school bus for shut down as of today. At least for the students anyway. In order to get paid, we still need to put in four hours a day. Part of that will be taking the buses from the garage to the various schools to pick up lunches and another staff member. We will then run our respective routes and if someone is waiting at each stop, the staff member will hand them lunch(es).

We do not expect to have someone waiting at each stop so there will be left overs which will be ours to keep. My wife and I may run short on TP but we should have plenty to eat even if some of it is canned, lol!

I had stopped by Wal-Mart today for something. Never saw so many bare shelves there! No fighting though.

Not for me. Fast food greasyburgers are low priority for me. My chow likes McDees double burgers with noting but the bun and the meat so I do the drive through and let him take his own burger, always tell them no wrapper either. I pay the money and he reaches out the window and takes his burger himself and I always get a surprised look when the see the pearly whites open wide. Loves his burgers though they do give him stinky farts... I cannot eat that garbage myself.

One of my dogs farts stink really bad if she eats my beef leftovers. Whew! :laughing:

I finally found the reason for TP hoarding.

Apparently when one person sneezes or coughs, at least six people nearby will crap their pants.
