I am not seeing any shortages locally. Having not been to Walmart in a few weeks I went at 7 am the last two days just to stock up on the foods that I eat (low carb) and at that time of the day shelves were well stocked. The last I heard it is to hit here more like mid April. Since 80F degrees takes out COVID-19 I am glad we are near spring.

I bet toilet paper sales will be slow for the next year. I only buy food but I see a lot of toilet paper going down into the basement at our house.

Yeah, it's pretty stupid and, as I've said before, it's a Big Smoke (major city) phenomenon... probably sparked by the "twiterverse".

It's not a supply-chain 'thing' either as most of our bum-wad is manufactured in Adelaide, SA.

Perhaps it's because antipodes-use toilet paper is attached and wound onto the cardboard tube in the opposite direction as the TP used in the Northern Hemisphere.

Observed at a roadside gas station / cafe in a 'developing nation' 15 years ago:

A stack of old newspapers on one side of the toilet. A jumble of soiled newspapers on the opposite side.

And a sign in the local language plus English: Body waste ONLY into the sewage system!!!


(We already knew to always have a pocketful of restaurant paper napkins for situations like this).

Well, the wife said we have 30 rolls squirreled away in some cabinet. So we should be fine for quite a while. Whew!. I guess it might be safe to shake hands with me after all. :shocked:

Just stop at every gas station and store, roll off about 20ft.?
Or use a garden hose for a bidet?

As I explained, My TP rolls wouldn't work for you as they'd un-roll the opposite way.

Then you'd have to flip it over and turn it around.

Have you noticed there are no cases reported in Mississippi? Of course there are no test kits available. This is how we keep case numbers down, no testing.
