Yes we had 325 average on one field.

One field. Not a farmwide average on an average to good year, which was asked for.

Let's look at some data from Iowa and Illinois.

Most county averages in states outside the Corn Belt will be lower. A few may be higher, especiallly in areas where irrigation is a necessity.

Soil samples results from the state university in Massachusetts provide estimates for corn yield without fertilizer. Then they forecast the improvement in corn yield three times with different rates of fertilizer applications.
