Corn Price Jump

I just buy it in 30-40 lb bags to feed the wildlife but it has taken a big jump.

Back a month or so it went up two dollars a bag for a 40 lb bag at Academy Sports. I switched to 30 lb bags from walmart because it was easier to access and easier on my back. Went to reorder today and it jumped from $6.97 to $9.47 for a 30 lb bag. That was from two weeks ago.

Anything to do with corn has gone up and I would assume this holds true for all grains.
Chicken feed that I was paying $8.99 a bag has gone to $16.99 now.

It's just starting. Prices on everything should jump up soon - IF you can get the items you want.

Yeah, bulk corn here has gone from $0.13/# to $0.195/# in my last three trips, pretty significant. Feed has been going up but not as notably...yet.

Taking issue with the cost of feeding wildlife that are better off fending for themselves is a classic First World problem.

Last I checked the only wildlife eating the feed I buy are mice who access it via larceny. I'm talking about feeding the food I eat.

Pay attention. Yesterday's news was ALL about inflation.
Anyone with half a brain knows the current AND FORMER administrations couldn't print trillions of dollars without triggering inflation.

The fed chair Jerome Powell even said he WANTED higher inflation. He even went to congress (11/2019) and spoke about his concerns of the level of spending...and again spring of 2020....and spring of 2021. When this goes south, there will be plenty of blame thrown everywhere.

wow ! Didn't rise that much here. Last I bought was $11.50 per 50# bag. up from $8.50 per 50# bag
Cattle feed has also jumped in price due to higher corn prices.
Fertilizer was 350 per ton. now 590 per ton

The important thing is they don't want to raise taxes. Inflation and budget deficits are fine.

And yesterday he said inflation was “uncomfortably” above the target range.

How this is a surprise given the lack of folks working due to handouts is beyond me.

Handouts create demand, lack of workers lessens supply.

What happens when demand goes up and supply goes down? Duh!

Current annual inflation rate is actually 5.4%, and seemingly still rising!
