coolant temp relay

I have a JD 755 , the temp. light came on for no reason.
I understand there is a relay between the sending unit and the light..Where is the relay??

What makes you think it came on for no reason? Have you verified that the screen on the radiator is clear?

The temp gauge on the FarmTrac we used to have would read high "for no reason". Funny how cleaning the screen and the radiator would bring that reading down.

Seriously, if there really is no reason for the light to come on, I would replace the sender before I looked for a relay.
