On my first trip to the east coast, I took a shuttle to get to my destination, I forget in which state, and the driver kept mentioning the Appalachian Mountains. After a while I asked when we would see them. He cursed at me and said that we have been driving past them for the last 1/2 hour.Yeah, we've been to the Appalachians several times.... then we went to the Rockies. WOW! No comparison.

Appalachians are in my back yard...pretty but not the Rockies. In the '60s I saw the Canadian Rockies first before Colorado which was a mistake!

I captured this from my game camera a couple days ago. What's rare about this is that we had a historic 10" snowfall on Jan. 22 here in South Louisiana

Good morning, everyone.
Went outside to put some seeds in the feeder and saw this. I had to go grab the good camera but took the time to put on my toque because it was a frosty 10 degrees.

Out here we get "ghost" antennas up on the mountains where the relay stations are placed.....
