Just ground settling and wood warping could shift things. But still pretty close and quite an interesting feature.

Looking at satellite maps, each building is a few degrees plus or minus of each other. It probably didn't seem to matter at the time, but they were built and added on to in stages, and when it came time to connect them it produced quite the cobble job.

Lassen this morning

While we were at Lassen, this guy and a friend hung out with us while we were visiting a fire lookout. They didn't seem concerned about us or the dog. They wandered around very close to us for about 20 minutes. I figured they were looking for a handout.

This formation looks out over my little lake. We call it - old man of the lake.
