We went for a walk about 7 years ago and there were hundreds of 3-4" crayfish walking around in the grass paths. They had recent floods.

^ haha, looks like a pretty boisterous time

We had a cool daytime visitor in the yard recently. I hear these guys a lot at night, but very hard to spot them. Looked like nearly 2 feet tall, large bird!

Just ground settling and wood warping could shift things. But still pretty close and quite an interesting feature.
