Am I missing something? Awfully early to be having that much color isn't it?

I planted this rosebush near back door 43 years ago, but to the left is the original one I'm thinking planted many years before that.
I cut them way back weeks ago, overhanging sidewalk and up over roof.
One I planted is plain red, other is unusual.

Not really a cool nature photo, but more of a cool what nature does over time to eventually reclaim anything not maintained photo. The Pflug Mansion as it is called was built near the mining town of Wauconda WA about 120 years ago. The owner/builder hauled the lumber in himself and built the house over a period of years. Money was tight so building was slow, then the mines played out. He and his family lived in the finished portions of the house before he eventually abandoned the house of his dreams in 1921. Nobody has lived there since.
I am just guessing that the log house was the original home and residence until the bigger house was livable.
My Daughter and I rode past that place this summer on a motorcycle trip. We both noticed it. One always wonders about the history behind such places. You live in a beautiful, underappreciated part of the State, 3 Horse!

That would make an interesting print, even from different angles.
There was an abandoned house a mile from here, very strange 2 story with flat roof built in 1900.
I noticed walls were very thick inside which was because it was built over top of a very old slave cabin. Cabin logs you could see where plaster had fallen away in places.
The place was very haunted (seriously) and I have recordings audio & video.
It was torn down about 5 years ago.

Clearing a parking lot or ditch today, I came across the largest mushroom I have ever seen. I put a gouge its top with my string, before I stopped to see what it was. I was as large as a human head. Top photo is what the weeds looked like it was in.
