Am I missing something? Awfully early to be having that much color isn't it?

It’s like that every year in the desertEspecially for CA.
My Daughter and I rode past that place this summer on a motorcycle trip. We both noticed it. One always wonders about the history behind such places. You live in a beautiful, underappreciated part of the State, 3 Horse!View attachment 818242
Not really a cool nature photo, but more of a cool what nature does over time to eventually reclaim anything not maintained photo. The Pflug Mansion as it is called was built near the mining town of Wauconda WA about 120 years ago. The owner/builder hauled the lumber in himself and built the house over a period of years. Money was tight so building was slow, then the mines played out. He and his family lived in the finished portions of the house before he eventually abandoned the house of his dreams in 1921. Nobody has lived there since.
I am just guessing that the log house was the original home and residence until the bigger house was livable.
That would make an interesting print, even from different angles.View attachment 818242
