Good day for a cool dip in the pond.

We were blazing trails today and I was pulling slash off the trail and through these ferns. They were nearly 4ft tall.

I like the ferns here as they make nice borders all by themselves and reduce the stiltgrass growth. But yes, they get big and are tough and seem to grow on the shaded edges of any clearing.
Those are some big healthy looking ones, probably making a mess when you trim them out.
