drives, no need to host offsite. Leave them in your computer.

Yes, I use Paint.net too.
The photos I take I resize by percentage depending on which camera I use. Usually 25% to 30 %. Just changing the first size automatically changes the second.
If I need to lighten a pic, I use my Mac. They save to desktop so I can find them easily, then after I post them I move them to a folder or delete them.

ALL: thanks for all the help!!

I've been using Paint to edit my pics of my 8+ Iphone, but i'd never used the resize feature. so I resized this pic putting 1000 as the big # and I think the other # ended up being changed to 567 or something like that cause I clicked on tab to make sizing similar to large picture.

so here's a picture of the Oregon Coast just after a storm that had water going in the first floor units. if you can imagine staying in a hotel with logs rolling up and against a small railing and water coming in your room while you are on vacation I have to say it was ok to watch from up above, but I met one of the gals that was staying on the first floor and she told me she was terrified.

so the reason I was thinking of an offsite photo hosting cause I know how to cut and paste links to those pics, but if any of you know how to post full size pics (now that they are resized) straight to a post I'm all ears. you might have mentioned it already, but maybe i didn't understand the method.

If you added your pic using the "Go Advanced" method I described above. Once you have the pic in your reply it will be the size of yours above. Before posting your reply, double click on the pic. A window will open allowing you to choose what size the pic will post as. I use "full size". This process will increase the size of your pic to whatever you have chosen.

Over:thanks for the help and I understand (sort of) the process on how to post Thumbnails and i'll review yours and other posts to see if I can get to the "how would you like the size of picture you're posting" tab. i do use the Go Advanced tab, but maybe i'm using the paperclip type of attachment cause i'm used to it from another forum. the screen that comes up for me says I have a max of 10 pics and I think i'm up to about 13, but as they sit there i don't have a clue how to use them without downloading them again. sometimes i think i'm fairly computer savvy, but there's always a learning curve.

hard to say why my picture on a fairly new 8+ Iphone a few years ago was so fuzzy, but maybe cause I was using the ZOOM feature from a hill top a ways away.

OVER: thanks again for all your help!! when I used the other icon with the 4 dots that says insert image and downloaded a pic that i'd resized and it still didn't show a picture in my reply. just showing words so i can't double click on it.
