For the sticker removal: Angle grinder with a wire brush head. Paint touch up will be required after that.

Agree with everyone else regarding what you've done with the gas residue: More than enough already. Fill it with diesel.

Have been discing and working fields for the last 4 days from can see to can't see.

Deferred the decal removal...will pick that back up over the weekend.

Mr. Peter 3 15 - the heat gun suggestion was the answer.

Rather than tiny 1/4 inch pieces, the letters peeled off fully intact with heat applied!

The rest of the story...

Thanks to Mr. Fallon for recommending the Anderson connectors for the 12v power connection...great stuff!

Built a short cable from the tractor battery that is wired permanent to the tractor, along with a separate short 8 inch cable with 30amp fuse attached on the tank end.

The key, which makes it a bit more secure is the use of an extension cable to connect the tractor to power the pump.

The objective was to minimize long cables permanently attached to the transfer tank, eliminate dealing with hooking clamps up to the battery, yet keep it simple and fast to use.

Its been operational for a month now...works way easier than expected, is idiot proof, and takes 5 seconds to plug the tractor to the pump and start filling the tractor.
