convert back blade into box blade?

Has anyone bolted on ends to a back blade to make a box blade? I have seen road graders that do that. I would think it would be more versatile that way and not weigh as much.

They make side wings to do just that. It will then carry some dirt, but won't do a good as a real box blade. Remember, heavier is better-er for box blades.

But just adding wings is a lot cheaper!
