controlling a hydraulic rear blade with a 4720

Hello All-

I have a 2014 4720 that has a loader but no other SCV's. Before winter arrives, I am thinking about getting a hydraulic rear blade that would allow me to adjust the blade angle from the cab. Seeing that my tractor is not equipped with a rear SCV, I was wondering what Deere kit I would need to order to get this blade to work right?

I am guessing I would need the 3rd SCV kit? If this if correct, are these kits tough to install on a cabbed tractor?

Should not be "tough" to install... if you have interest and some mechanical skills doing some wrenching.

I would consider what other uses and needs you will have in the future first. IIRC some combinations of rear valves might not be available from Deere. Adding a factory diverter set up is a good sized job too. Of all the common attachments I can think of the hydraulic rear blade uses the valve circuits. If you only have one rear circuit for the blade angle and nothing for tilt, offset and top link you wont be getting all the benefits out of the blade. You may be fine with adding one rear valve to the rear, no plans for a backhoe or anything else but give it all some thought before you jump. Topntilt hitch is a very nice add on I should mention and I would not want to be without it.

If you add the power beyond kit and an electric solenoid controlled valve bank you might be better off. I recommend you check with Fitrite Hydraulics about adding the package you need. Brian, MtnviewRanch is a member here in good standing and is very knowledgeable about this stuff.
