Continental Belton 44 Post Hole Digger??

Need a manual for the above... It got knocked over in a barn falling down, I straightened all the bent parts but keeps acting like it jumps up at the top and won't disengage and you can't get it to drop down to dig either.

I did a search and found no info.

Need to figure out how to make it work as I have a LOT of post holes to dig and after digging 26 holes by hand this weekend, I'm about done...
