Yes, they are a couple of nice machines. Big Red was bought as a parts machine for Old Yeller, $500. When we got it home we discovered that it really is in better shape than Old Yeller, so now we are restoring both of them. Big Red was cosmetically in rough shape, but after sand blasting and painting she looks good. The bull blade on Big Redis a horse, labeled as a Drott, but the system is definitely Bucyrus Erie. Part of dad's christmas present from me is new cutting edges for Big Red and new master pins for the track. All are obsolete. Go figure, Big Red is a '43 to '47 model, going by the engine serial number, the machine serial number plate is long gone. She was a veteran, when sand blasted OD green was under yellow. Oh the stories these machines could tell.
