You gotta love that rug. Wonder if that's what Elvis' hair would look like if he were alive today.

LOL I'm from Ohio and I'd vote for him again. Heck he no worse than the rest of them. He just a "bad as#ed" sheriff who stung the FBI and got elected for it. He never took any crap off anybody and isn't about to start now. I'd trust him alot more than I would Ted Kennedy and some of the others.

Dan I live in NY, and can't help thinking your guy is probably better than most of what we got here.
He's sure never been afraid to say what he was thinking, and he seems about ready to let the rest of the liening busturds in the House know what he knows about them and where their skelitons are buried.
I can't help wondering how much of the shut he's in now is payback from the FB1.

I'm also from Ohio, and an interesting comment it that he could get re-elected while in jail. That would be a first. Jim is extremely popular in his district.

heck, Missouri elects dead people ... why shouldn't Ohio elect a felon?
After all, they're in the political party which can do no wrong since they do it "for the children"

Just because your paranoid/whacko does not mean "they" are not trying to get you.
He just said NO to the government and now they want to destroy him.
If we proletariats all say no at once though they cannot put us all in jail, well, I hear they are building some new camps for the Gestapo, oops I meant Homeland Security Serivces and the Tips Program will be real popular with the "Young ****** Youth"----oops--wait---Boys Clubs. Kinda getting confused here.
They ain't putting no chips on me, no bar codes and no tatoos and I will not "just do it for the children" and I ain't showing no one my "papers." J

Ahhh, the House of Misrepresentatives, a fine body of elected genius. They even invented their own bank where they got to write all the checks they wanted to without any $$$$ in the account. No wonder people want this job.
Isn't Alcee Hastings a member?
I guess we are all suppose to have forgotten that fat fellow from Chicago, who now works for Jessy Jackson, and Adam Clayton Powell.
Then again, I've been around a long time, and know references to federal agents and servants as Gestapo or Hitleresque really p!$$ off Title 3 judges in the courtroom.
Why back in the wonderful Clinton days, the whoremonger in chief even had HUD suing people to bankruptch just to get them to agree with HUD's plans.
Please keep your armband straight and properly oriented on your sleeve.

Well congress finally booted his A$$ out of Washington with only one decenting vote. Anyone want to make a guess on who that great representative was?

It was Condit...I was surprised, then not really. I expected a few other rats clinging to the ship but I guess Gary wanted to make some kind of a statement. Maybe he sees the writing on the wall.

Anyway, my opinion: GUILTY! The only lucid statements in his debate last night was that he had not been taped or video'ed--kind of a "you never proved it" vs. a founded statement of innocence.

I will further opine, here: Traficant speaks the speak, and walks to another voice. His outward "civilian fear of government" platforms are laudable, but the fact that he behaves the way he does completely devalues his sincerity. He has exploited those popular notions as a cover for his total disrespect for the law that he once upheld and the laws that he later authored. He hired young professionals only if they paid HIM part of their salary; he relocated a criminal closer to the criminal's family, and in trade, the criminal's family worked on his farm, just for starters. Abuse of the public trust, IMHO.

The rest of the lot may not be much better, and in fact, many are certainly worse. I think my biggest rub with the guy is that he intentionally speaks of a corrupt government in a way that appeals to most of us but he is the very cancer he proposes treating. I have no patience for hypocrisy like that.

The hearing was entertaining and I do think his style is pretty refreshing. My favorite was when he shouted to the House, "SHOW ME THE BEEF!" A pretty interesting synthesis of "Where's the Beef" and "Show me the money". I wonder what he meant? /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

Do you think Traficant could share a cell with little Miss Homemaker Martha Stewart?

If so, maybe she would advise him on how best to maintain his mop /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I can't help thinkin we ought to keep Trafficant and get shed of the rest of the phoney bustards who stood there criticizing him. I watched part of the procedings, and was wondering how some of the people who stood to criticize Trafficant kept a straight face.

Does he still get to keep his "retirement" check?
