Confused about tire sizeing

Howdy, trying to figure out the differences in tire size and not having much luck.

I have a b7500 with 12-16.5 rear tires. I am looking to get some rear tire chains and have found a set that are 12.4-16 according to the customer. Any idea if these are close enough to fit? Appreciate the help.

Correct mine are r4 tires.

I couldn't even begin to understand how these tire sizes differ. Car tires make sense to me, these do not.

I bought tire chains through Amazon. The company, I don’t remember their name, had a listing of the various tire sizes and which chains fitted them. I have a 2380 with turfs and the chains they sent are an exact fit and work very well.
