Ford NH 3930
Front end loader and bush hog connected and both lifted as I began to mow my field. When I engaged the PTO selector lever the PTO started and immediately stopped as evidenced by no further movement in the mower drive shaft. I lowered both loader and mower to inspect. Fluid levels were good but when I restarted the engine the PTO as well as the 3 pt lift arms and loader would not move. I changed the Hydraulic filter (under the left foot platform) and retried but still no movement in any of the three items. Any thoughts?

PTO splines torn out of the pressure plate, rivets torn out of the PTO drive splined hub on the pressure plate, primary PTO shaft broken where it passes through the transmission.

Rick, thanks for the quick reply. Looks like I've got to take this to someone more knowledgeable than me to fix this. Thanks again. Jim

Those are not common failures, but possibilities. I’ve seen all 3 happen to 3 cylinder Fords. Could also be a catastrophic hydraulic pump failure.
