compatibility?

some parts from a john deere 650 or 750 fit my ym220d. is the engine compatible with either of these? how can i find out what engine is in my tractor?

ok so i found the "what engine is in your yanmar" thread. that helps me identify my tractor. now--can i put an engine from a jd 650 or 750 into my 220d? if i have to, i will overhaul my engine, but it would be easier to just change the engine for me. i am a parts changer, not a mechanic.

I think that a "good" used engine for any of them will be very hard to find. Most these tractors are not scrapped unless the engine is worn out.

Rebuilding it is the way to go and insures that the engine will last a long time.
