If you look at the subject line of my message, it says re: Egon... the message right above mine was from Egon.. he stated that the 'big yellow ones do.. etc.. etc..

You are agreeing with Egon that the big yellow ones do not have hydrostatic transmission? But they do have hydrostatic transmissions available is what I am saying.I operated a John Deere 750 in 1986 with hydrostatic drive.

I think Egon and myself are refering to the large 'heavy' equipment.. like 544g, 644, etc... And while some do have an auto trans.. it is radically different than the hydro on our tractors... most of our units use a torque converter. Some even use the pump and independent motor design. So many differences..
