Compact Cubs vs Kubota

This person knows ziltch about cubs. I've owned both and my current cub 7275 will blow away any b series kubota in any meaningful category. Great dealer support and a lenghty history of mitsubishi reliability. Check out thoes cubs. You wont be disappointed.

I am sure that could be debatable.......I had a Mitsubishi one time and parts became scarce,I do not think you will ever have trouble getting parts for a Kubota,Cub Cadet makes nice equipment as a matter of fact I but a Cub Cadet woodsplitter,it was the best looking one around town in my opinion. I never have owned a Kubota,but I know for a fact they are a great company with a great product.I am sure there are a lot more Kubotas sold than Cub Cadets compact tractor.

I don't know about tractors, but the emperical actuarial data on Mitsubishi vehicles show that they are the least reliable vehicle to come out of Japan. I know this only way too well. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Odd...I have had Mitsubishi vehicles since 1989 and I can only call them bulletproof. I still drive my '95 Expo daily. It has 135K and is all original except for the plugs, tires, battery and front brake pads. I expect to get at least 190K with no problems. I have a 7205 Cub (Mitsu) which I bought after almost buying a 7610 Kubota. The Kubota was just light duty in comparison. You can start with the solid cast iron unit construction on the Cub and compare it to the aluminum rear end frame rail setup on the Kubota. You can go on from there. I kind of see them like Honda cars. Catchy name, glitzy looking but lacking substance to a certain degree. Still good though......

I've purchased several Cub Cadets over the past few years, my first Cub is a 12 year old unit and still going strong. But all mine are GT or ZTRs and as far as I am concerned in those classes they are a great value. I like the 7000 series Cubs, but given the choice of a Cub or a Kubota, there is no way I would buy the Cub over the Kubota. The 7000 series Cubs are a nice value, they are also very similar to some of the smaller Mahindras, both are built by Mitsubishi and they have lots of features for the money. However, I simply do not think they are up to the quality of the Kubota tractor. My Cub dealer is also a Kubota dealer and when I went to buy a Cub compact he started to detail the warrenty issues he's had with them and simply stated that he really didn't want to sell me one. I'm glad I didn't buy one based on some other feedback I've seen. But again, I actually like them! I just don't think they are as high in quality as the Kubota.

Wow, lots of neighbors here tonight. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I lived just east of Browns lake on hy B just south of 11. I now live in Waupaca, but my wife works as a nurse in Union Grove, we see each other on weekends, at least till we get a house back down there. I have a Mahindra 2015 hydro with fel and I now have about 50 hrs. I love it. It is the same as Case IH , from where I retired, from early 90's and was a Cub till just the last year or so, I think they are now Korean made. Price is not bad, and my dealer is just great so far. I don't think I will have to orry about parts as they have been made for 15 years or so.. JohnJ

Copy that. When I wanted to price a Cub, my dealer told me that he flat wouldn't sell me one even at the risk of losing my business. He told me that he would sell me other Cub models, but not in the size I was looking. Since the guy was a dealer who sold them, and he very well could lose my business, I don't see any reason for him to not tell me his honest opinion. The last thing I want to do is to buy something and have the selling dealer tell me "I told you so" when it breaks. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

There are no warranty issues. Cub will not admit to a problem. Therefore no problem no warranty or backing up their products

Neil, jwnge is correct in that the Mitsu's sold under the Mahindra name were originally sold in the US by Case back in the early 90's. They were then sold as Cubs for a few years. they're now the Mahindra 15 series. Check out this thread...

You're correct in that those Mitsu's have nothing in common with the current crop of Case compacts, which I believe are mfg by Shibaura.

You said..."There is absolutly nothing in common between a Case and a Mahindra".....The 1140 and 1120 Case Ih of the early 90's were made by Mitsubitsi just as the Mahindra 15 series are today. I would say that makes them have something in common, maybe even a lot..

( The front and the rear of the tractot are coupled together by the ears of the engine block. All the stress of a front end loader or backhoe or 3 point hitch attachments are on the engine block because there is no solid frame. I know of several problems wwith broken blocks because of this. Cub has a technical service bulletin out on this and a moddification. The mod is like putting a band aid on a bullet hole. Check with your cub dealer. They are really trying to keep this quiet )

I think it is only on the 723X and 727X models. This would be a good question for cubtech.

I'm the owner of a Cub 7532, bought it this spring and it now has 191 hours on it. I've mowed, finish and bush hogged, plowed, used the loader a ton, skidded logs... and I love it. The day I bought it I set out with the intention of buying a Kubota L3400, but the salesmen were all busy and after an hour of waiting I went to a Cub dealers open house for a free hot dog, but he made me a deal, and I walked out the owner of a new Cub. I haven't regretted it for a minute.

I have a 1989 Dodge D 50 I bought new
And I have A 1986 Dodge D50
I had a 1983 Dodge D 50 I drove for 12 years at a cost of 1200 bucks.
All 3 of them super great little pick ups.
These Mitisubishi trucks are the most underated pick ups out there.
